My Story…
In 2010 I lost my Dad to suicide. The grief was unbearable for about 4 years. In 2014, my daughter Katie organized the first Thumbs Up memorial race. The race helped me move forward and eventually through the heavy grief. Our family turned pain into purpose to help others experiencing the same loss. 11 years later Thumbs Up continues to educate and support people needing mental health resources and those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
I'm fundraising again this year to continue the conversations about mental health and suicide prevention. Thumbs Up accomplishes this through their programming. https://thumbsupformentalhealth.org/
