My Story…
On September 18, 2024, my family received news that our Carter passed away at his home in Sitka, Alaska, after succumbing to an invisible battle. There is absolutely no way to describe the pain/shock/confusion/guilt/grief that followed that day. Nobody saw this coming - Carter was happy, always cracking jokes or pranking someone. I am his Momma, how did I not know? This will always be a question that pains me. I created Carter's Crew last year to help raise money for Thumbs Up and to help spread the word that it's okay to not be okay. The mission of Thumbs Up is to raise awareness for mental health and provide support and resources to all. Will you help me raise funds for the vital programming and services Thumbs Up brings to the community? All donations go directly to supporting the programs within the organization.
